E. Pace Earns Venturing Summit Rank

Evangeline Pace – Crew 8100, Chief Solano – earned her Venturing Summit Rank on May 21, 2026 and became GGAC’s fifth Summit Rank recipient.

Evangeline, an Eagle Scout, completed her Venturing Summit Rank Service Project by restoring and improving the speaker protection boxes used by the City of Suisun for their concerts and community events at the waterfront. Over time, the metal boxes had begun to rust and corrode. She recruited a team who worked together to sand and prep the enclosures before applying a fresh coat of paint to help preserve them and improve their appearance. In addition to the restoration work, the group also organized a waterfront cleanup, removing trash and debris to help make the area look clean and welcoming for the upcoming events and visitors.”

The Summit Rank represents Venturing’s highest honor. To achieve this ultimate recognition, Venturers will serve the crew as a leader— both formally and informally— and will be a mentor to others. In addition, they will strengthen their community by designing and leading a service project to benefit others. The experience gained in earning this rank will help them mature as a member of a team and as an individual.
